Sabrina Coast Radiolarians

This project is part of my PhD and looks at modern, core-top, radiolarian assemblages and past, down-core, radiolarian assemblages from the Sabrina Coast, East Antarctica. The project aims to:
- quantify and describe modern assemblages from surface sediment samples
- place these assemblages in the context of modern Southern Ocean radiolarian biogeography
- use past assemblages to investigate how radiolarians can help to reconstruct palaeoceanography in the region.
